Laura Li (she/her) is a strategist specializing in digital organizing and community-first political and communications campaigns. For five years, she worked at 18 Million Rising, where as Organizing Director she helped lead their media-based political education and digital organizing campaigns supporting Asian American communities across the US on issues such as ending immigrant detention, government surveillance, gentrification and more.

Prior to this role, she consulted with the Proteus Fund on the #NoMuslimBanEver campaign and with Deepa Iyer on Solidarity Is. Laura has also completed ReFrame’s Mentorship program, an intensive six-month training to build strategic communicators for the social justice movement.

Currently she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Communications at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She holds a degree in Politics from Oberlin College. When not trying to stop the US descent into fascism, Laura likes to make ceramics, walk her dog, and soak up sunshine while exploring her new home in Sweden.
