AJ Titong
Pronouns: she/herAJ Titong is a co-founder and partner at reimagine collective, a strategist, trainer, and liberatory coach.
AJ’s relationship with storytelling began in childhood, when she redesigned picture books and listened to elders share stories of their lives in the Philippines during weekend games of mahjong and pusoy dos. Those early experiences shaped how she understands story as a tool for connection, culture, and change.
Today, AJ works with communities across the country and the Pacific, supporting people and coalitions to use storytelling, values-based messaging, and digital organizing to strengthen strategy, build narrative power, and deepen connection. One of her earliest trainings in the 2010s focused on helping organizers and community-based coalitions integrate social media into their organizing and policy work, marking the beginning of her long-standing commitment to communications for movement building.
AJ brings nearly 20 years of experience in strategic communications, coaching, and facilitation. She leads one-on-one communications coaching and has facilitated trainings for audiences of more than 200 people. Whether working with grassroots organizers, policy advocates, or executive leaders, AJ brings curiosity, clarity, and a sense of play to help people sharpen their voice and align their communications with their values.
In 2025, AJ was named a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow. She previously served on the National Youth Advisory Board for Young Invincibles, where she helped shape national policy conversations and youth engagement strategies. That experience, alongside her broader movement work, deepened her practice in storytelling, digital organizing, and communications strategy.
AJ studied design at the Arts Institute in San Francisco and holds a degree in Asian American Studies with a focus on Communication Studies from UCLA. She is also a certified liberatory coach through Coaching for Healing Justice and Liberation.
Outside of reimagine collective, AJ can be found documenting family recipes with her mom, spending time outdoors, traveling to visit friends and chosen family, and always on the lookout for her next matcha adventure.
